MVS Arkwright
Arkwright is a beautiful Nelson 34 launch built in 1968 and is our primary boat used most Tuesday evenings as a training vessel. She is MCA Coded and continues to be an invaluable and very respected support vessel when assisting at events like the Round the Island Race, Cowes Week, Solent Swims, Triathlons, Clipper Race and more.
Arkwright underwent a major refit in the early part of 2014 – Project Arkwright – During the refit Arkwright was fitted with a new engine, mast & a new radar system. Arkwright is also fitted with a echo sounder, chart plotter and much more.
With a minimum crew of 3, Arkwright can carry up to 7 passengers. As a former Royal Navy launch she is an easily recognised and much respected vessel in the Solent.
MVS 1
A purpose built 4 metre Avon RIB powered by a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard.
MVS 1 is an ideal vessel for training and is used most Tuesday evenings during the summer months. MVS 1 also provides invaluable support at events such as Solent Swims, Pier to Pier Swims and Triathlons where she acts as a safety boat to the swimmers in the water and support vessel to the swims in general.
